It's been exactly one year since an "ephemeral" (advertising, educational, industrial, and amateur) film has been uploaded to the Prelinger Archives by the curators.

In 2008, after a longer-than three-year drought, it was said that a "flood" of new PD releases from the vaunted vaults of Prelinger were on the way. A very few were posted. Mr. Prelinger himself joined in the online discussions about the recently-posted items. Then, total silence...

If the section ever comes alive again, I hope he uploads more Refrigerator commercials/advertisements. Particularly from the early-50's. The late-50's/1960's refrigerators are HIDEOUS compared with the early 50s ones.

Plus, some Pontiac advertising films/commercials, for obvious reasons.

Prelinger's "fridge commercials" tend to be twenty-minute long trips into crazy land, with a cast of thousands and Batman cars flying through space. They are treasures, much more fancy than old commercials in black and white where you can see Kitty Carlyle's thong sticking up out the back of her jeans.
